Please complete the attached template (available in email) and submit this to: firstname.lastname@example.org
PORESO is a diverse group of postgraduate researchers that have come together to organise this year’s conference. We actively welcome and encourage ALL postgraduate researchers from the various faculties, departments and fields of study located within Leeds Metropolitan University to submit an abstract and give a presentation on any aspect of their work.
This could include a discussion of:
• research question/s
• difficulties or learning experiences from practice
• any other subject related to the research experience
Presentations should aim to last for around 10 minutes and each session will be followed by 5 minutes for questions, providing all researchers time to speak and engage in a discussion about their chosen topic. Consolidating your research in this way provides the opportunity to practice delivering your ideas in a focussed, concise manner.
This platform provides an excellent opportunity for PhD researchers, at various stages of their career, to showcase their project to an interested, supportive audience of peers. It additionally aims to open up a dialogue between senior academics and early career researchers, whilst similarly providing a useful space to network and develop skills which could contribute to your Research Training Programme.
The PORESO Symposium aims to showcase the wide variety of research being undertaken at our University. Contributions from all faculties and schools are crucial for creating a strong, supportive research community.
Please complete all sections of the attached template, including your brief biography, department, field of study and research interests.
To share the symposium proceedings widely we will encouraging the use of live tweeting, using the hashtag #poreso2014
